However, I disagree with your bold statement about the co-existence of capitalism and socialism in one country. I agree with your perspective that Wall Street will never be the same and Internet Capitalism offers an extremely interesting and viable alternative. I oppose the U.S. government's intervention into too many industries, especially finance and healthcare. I personally am in favor of less government, not more.Although your premise about a socialist society providing the basics to live sounds optimal, I can't afford to pay more taxes to support a more 'socialist' approach to our government. I think the rise of the Internet will challenge private policy issues and will require the cooperation of all governments.
